Toni’s vibrant hair perfectly reflects her personality. She is fun, loves to dance, and knows how to express herself creatively. Toni hopes to go to nail school one day, but for now, she is using her strengths to contribute at Deseret Industries, where she has been working as a DI associate for a year and a half. 

“I have always worked in retail,” Toni says. “I bring customer service skills and try to help shoppers find what they are looking for.” 

Thanks to her hard work and willingness to learn through the DI job training program, Toni was promoted to be a team lead. The experience has given her opportunities to showcase her gifts. 

“I like to help my team members when they’re feeling down,” Toni says. “I also try to help them with their skills.”

Toni has seen personal growth as she has applied herself on the job. She has further developed her patience and is also learning cashiering. However, her favorite part of being a DI associate is connecting with other employees. 

“I have had friends help me out,” Toni says. “The people I work with are really great.”
