Ten Reasons to Spend More Time in the Electronics Section

Did you know you can find high-quality, functioning electronics at your local Deseret Industries? Here are ten reasons you should spend more time in the electronics section of your local DI.

1. Small kitchen appliances—If you need a new-to-you rice cooker or quesadilla maker, you’re likely to have success. You may also find waffle makers, toaster ovens, doughnut makers, slow cookers, and food warmers for your upcoming family reunion or brunch with friends.

2. Small household appliances—If you need an iron, fan, space heater, or humidifier, then you’ve come to the right place. We usually have multiple options for all these items on our shelves.

3. VHS players—If you’re feeling nostalgic, check for VHS players and tapes. Pick up some old favorites and make a night out of watching VHS tapes. Getting your own VHS player can also come in handy for any home videos that haven’t been digitized.

4. Computer accessories—Are you putting together a home office space? You’ll likely find some computer monitors, mouses, and keyboards.

5. Dance party necessities—Hosting a dance party this weekend? DI usually has some big speakers for amplifying your jams. We also have more portable options like CD players or iHomes for playing some sweet tunes.

6. Cassette players—These may come in handy when you’ve recorded some verbal family history that needs to be written down. Or you might even be able to find some old music or audiobooks on cassette tapes.

7. Video game equipment—If your family is big into music video games, keep your eye out for some extra drum sets or guitars that you can plug into your game console. You can also look for extra controllers so you can play games with your kids, too.

8. Antique radios—Maybe you like to listen to the radio without needing a computer or smartphone. Or maybe you just want a vintage statement piece for your home. Either way, you might just find something that looks and works great!

9. Extra cords—Have you ever unpacked an electronic from storage and realized that you’re missing some of the cords? Here at DI, we like to keep the cords together, so you can look through our stash to see if any of our spare cords will work with what you have.

10. Record players and records—Are you a music enthusiast? We receive a lot of record players and record collections! There’s nothing quite like listening to vinyl.

Don’t forget—we have a testing table by the electronics, so you can always plug in whatever you’re looking at just to make sure it is still in working condition. Check out the electronics section at your own Deseret Industries location, and share your finds using #DeseretIndustries.
