Mugisha, originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, has been working at the Latter-day Saint Humanitarian Center for the past 10 months. He discovered the center through a friend, and it has been his first job since coming to the United States.
“One of my favorite parts about working at the Humanitarian Center is I like the people I work with and my supervisor is super nice,” Mugisha says. “If I have a problem or question, he’s always quick to help.”
During his time at the center, Mugisha has found valuable opportunities through the job training program, primarily becoming forklift certified. Being a forklift operator has been as significant part of his experience. This certification is a testament to his hard work and dedication, and he hopes to use it in future job opportunities.
“I am now a lead here,” Mugisha proudly shares.
