Three years ago, Julie went through a divorce that left her starting over again at 53 years old. Having not worked for several years, and facing some health challenges, she decided the best option was to seek employment at DI.

 

Now, after more than a year in the job (without a sick day), Julie has discovered her niche. “I would absolutely love to stay here or work for the Church in some way,” she says.

 

Julie has appreciated the opportunity DI provides for growth. “They made me a lead after I had only been here a month,” she says. “Leadership is a skill that can help me in another job.”

 

In addition, Julie emphasizes how DI is helping her and others become self-reliant. She recently completed a class hosted by DI that teaches resume-building and interviewing techniques.

 

“DI has many ways to help people out with whatever they need,” she says. “Working here gives you the skills you need for a better-paying job.”
